Elements of martial arts, calligraphy, tai chi and Western modern dance are interpreted by his dancers in a way that promises to "transport us back to the beginning of humanity and the well-spring of our beings" (Backstage). Acclaimed throughout the U.S. ("powerful simplicity", New York Times), as well as in Taiwan, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, London, Austria, and Mexico, Lin’s diverse 57-piece repertory knows no cultural boundaries.
