1. Dance Items
1.1 All items are to be specified the type of dance in the Registration Form, dance of all types are welcome.
1.2 All items are to be specified adapted or new in the Registration form. All adapted items are to be specified the original chorographer in the participation form.
1.3 An adapted work refers to one that is based on a classic or based on choreography that has been performed previously either locally or overseas.
1.4 A new work refers to one that features brand new choreography that has never been featured previously in any public performance either locally or overseas. In other words, it is reproduced from another source.


2. Performance
2.1 Music used for the dance must be of good quality and in compact disc (CD) format. This CD is non-returnable.
2.2 No live music accompaniment is allowed.
2.3 Dancers must be in full costume for the central judging.
2.4 All performing group must report to the reporting area an hour before the allocated time.
2.5 No backdrop, bulky or heavy props are allowed at the central judging.


3. Duration
3.1 The duration of each item are as follows:
Primary School 4 minutes
Secondary School 4 to 6 minutes
Junior College & Pre-University Group 4 to 7 minutes
Open Category 4 to 8 minutes
3.2 10% of the final awarded mark will be deducted for any item that exceeds the stipulated time.


4. Participants
4.1 Each dance must have a minimum of 8 dancers.
4.2 Each Participant is only allowed to perform in 1 dance item.
4.3 Each group may choose to take part in more than 1 category, however no repetition is allowed.


5. Judging Criteria
5.1 The judging criteria are as follows:

(A) Content 45%

Creativity
Structure
Authenticity
Artistic and cultural merit
Congruency to the title
Choice of music
Choice and use of props and costumes

(B) Delivery 30%
Overall impact
Dance technique
Movement
Use of time and space
Coordination
Synchronization

(C) Showmanship 25%
Facial expression
Poise and confidence
Stage presence


6. Awards
6.1 There is no determined number of gold, silver or bronze awards. Participating groups will be awarded certificates based on their performance as follows:

GOLD 85% and above
SILVER 71% to 84%
BRONZE 60% to 70%
Certificate of Participation 59% and below

To recognize the outstanding achievement of dance groups that have attained high performance standards, groups that obtain a final mark of 90% or more will receive the Gold Award with Honors.


7. Entries
7.1 All performing group can participate in more than one dance item.
7.2 Participating groups are required to submit their participation form by 15th March 2007.
7.3 Changes in the title / type / category of dance after the submission of entry will not be accepted.


8. Administrative Matters
8.1 To ensure the smooth organization of the event, all participating groups are to comply with the rules and regulations.
8.2 The organizers reserve the right to impose a penalty for any infringement of the rules and regulations.
8.3 With respect to the professional team of judges, all judges’ decision is final. No further correspondence will be entertained.
1. 舞蹈项目
1.1 在参赛表格中必须注明参赛舞蹈的类别,各类舞蹈均可。
1.2 所有参赛舞蹈都要在申请表格中注明该舞蹈是改编原创。所有经改编的舞蹈参赛项目都要在参赛表格中注明其原创者。
1.3 改编的作品是指对经典作品或对原创者以前在本地或海外演出过的作品进行改编或再创作。
1.4 原创作品是指一个全新的舞蹈作品,以前从未在本地或海外公开演出过,也就是说,是根据另一个素材的再创作。


2. 表演
2.1 用于舞蹈伴奏的音乐必须是优质的、光碟(CD)格式的乐曲。比赛结束后,该光碟恕不奉还。
2.2 不可进行现场音乐伴奏。
2.3 服装为评分标准的一部分,表演者必须穿着表演服装。
2.4 所有表演团队必须在指定参赛时间前一个小时到报到处报到。
2.5 不可在评委中心布置任何背景,或大型重型道具。


3. 表演时间
3.1 每个参赛项目的表演时间如下:
小学组 4分钟
中学组 4 to 6 分钟
初级学院及高中组 4 to 7 分钟
公开组 4 to 8 分钟
3.2 若参赛节目超出规定时间,则该参赛节目将被扣除总分的10%


4. 参赛成员
4.1 每个参赛舞蹈项目不得少于8位表演者。
4.2 每位参赛者只允许参加一个舞蹈节目的表演。
4.3 所有表演团体均可参加一个或多个节目。


5. 评分标准
5.1 评分标准如下:

(A) 内容   45分

创造力
结构编排
原创
艺术和文化价值     
与主题相统一
乐曲的选择
道具和服装的选择与使用

(B) 表达   30
总体感染力
舞蹈技巧/动作编排
时间和空间的运用
动作的协调性
与乐曲的同步性

(C) 表演能力   25分
表情/沉稳/自信
舞台表现力


6. 奖项
6.1 金牌、银牌和铜牌奖项没有数量的限定,各与会团体根据其表演均会得到获奖证书。奖项要求如下:

金牌 85及以上
金牌 71- 84分
铜牌 60-70分
参与奖 59分及以下

为了对成绩突出的舞蹈团体进行表彰,以资鼓励,特设立金牌荣誉奖项。总分90分及以上的表演团体可获得该奖项。


7. 参赛表格
7.1 参赛团体需提交参赛表格。
7.2 提交参赛表格后,不可再对参赛节目的名称/组别进行任何改动。


8. 行政事项
8.1 为了确保评委中心的统筹规划的顺利进行,所有参赛团体均须遵守本规章条例。
8.2 对于违反本规则和条例的行为,组委会有权拒绝其参赛资格。
8.3 尊重评判团专业,评委中心之决定为最后之裁决,谢绝任何赛后申诉.
