Rules & Regulations (BAND)
1. Music Scores
  1.1   The contest performance consists of performance of 1 local piece, followed by the performance of 1 chosen composition.
  1.2   Please bring ORIGINAL scores should verification be required.
2. Time Allocation
  2.1   Total Stage Presence Time No more than 20 minutes.
  2.2   Total Performing Time No more than 15 minutes.
  2.3   Tuning on stage No more than 2 minutes.
3. Judging Criteria
  3.1   The maximum score is 100%
  3.2   The adjudicators will judge the performance of both pieces according to the following major categories.
  3.3   The total points scored (max.500 points) will be divided equally by 5 and be expressed in 2 decimal points.
  3.4   Score:
-30% Sound (Tuning, Quality, Balance)
-40% Technique (Technique, Articulation, Ensemble Playing, Rhythm)
-30% Musical Performance (Dynamics, Phrasing, Interpretation)
4. Awards
  4.1  

There is no determined number of Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards.

Participating groups will be awarded certificates based on their performances as follows:

GOLD - 85% and above
SILVER 75% - 84.99%
BRONZE 65% - 74.99%
Certificate of Participation - 65% and below

All participating bands achieving a minimum of 65% will receive a Diploma Award.

5. Allowance and Penalty
  5.1  

Deduction of 5% on overall score should the performing time exceed 00:15.10 minutes. An allowance of 10 seconds will be given

  5.2   Deduction of 5% on overall score should the bands report at least 10 minutes late.
6. On Stage & Percussion Instruments
  6.1  

Participating groups are allowed to move percussion instruments on stage to suit your seating plan (subject to 20 minutes stage presence) EXCEPT Timpani, Chimes, Drum Set, Marimba, Xylophone and Vibraphone

  6.2   There will be NO assistance to bring percussion instruments onto the stage.
  6.3   There will be provision of 50 foldable music stands & 1 conductor stand.

If you require more stands, kindly inform us upon submission of seating plan.
  6.4   Piano will not be provided
  6.5   All electronic keyboards & musical equipments are NOT allowed.
Example, Synthesizer, Amplifier, Electric Guitar and etc
7. Closing Date
  7.1  

Closing date for registration is 15 September 2007

  7.2   All performing group may participate in more than 1 category but repetition is not allowed.
  7.3   Once entry form is submitted, changes of competition repertoire/music will be subjected to approval.
8. Others
  8.1  

All participating groups are to comply with the rules and regulations.

  8.2   The Organizer reserves the right to impose a penalty for any infringement of the “Rules and Regulations”
  8.3   The Organizer reserves the right to make necessary amendments to the“Rules and Regulations” without prior notice.
  8.4   With respect to the professional team of judges, all judge’s decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained.
 
规章条例(铜乐)
1.乐章(乐普)
  1.1   参赛曲目包括一首本国乐曲和一首自选曲。
  1.2   请付上原创乐谱以备审查。
2.时间安排
  2.1   总占舞台时间 - 不超过20分钟。
  2.2   总演奏时间 - 不超过15分钟。
  2.3   舞台乐器调音 - 不超过2分钟。
3. 评分标准
  3.1   总分为100%.
  3.2   评判团将根据以下的标准评分。
  3.3   评分:
- 30% 音响 (音量,音质,音色,协调)。
- 40% 技巧 (节奏感,音准,合奏表现)
- 30% 整体演出 (演绎,乐曲处理,曲风处理)
4. 奖项
  4.1   金,银和铜牌奖项(没有数量限定)
参赛团获得以下演奏成绩,均可获奖获证书。
金牌 > 85% 以上
银牌 > 75% - 84.99%
铜牌 > 65% - 74.99%
参加证书 > 65% 以下
5. 扣分制度
  5.1   演奏超出规定时间, 不出10秒
如超过00:15.10 分钟,总得分将扣除5%下
6. 舞台与打击乐器事项
  6.1   参赛队可照乐队的队型需求,移动台上的打击乐器
(针对20分钟总占舞台时间)除定音鼓,编鼓, 木琴,马林巴琴之外。
(Timpani, Chimes, Drum Set, Marimba, Xylophone and Vibraphone)
  6.2   参赛队不可私用舞台,须得舞台经理的许可及安排。
  6.3   打击乐器的搬动自理。
  6.4   提供50个折用谱架及1个指挥谱架。若有需求,请尽早通知并交上队型座位安排计划。
  6.5   钢琴恕不供应。
  6.6   不准使用电子钢琴和音乐器材如扩音器,电子吉他,合成器等。
7. 截止日期
  7.1   报名截止日期 2007 年 9 月 15 日 (传真或电邮)
  7.2   所有表演团体均可参加一个或多个项目, 但不可重复。
  7.3   提交参赛表格后, 任何参赛节目的更改,都得由主办当局批准。
8. 行政事项
  8.1   为了确保评委中心的统筹规划的顺利进行,所有参赛团体均须遵守本规章条例。
  8.2   对于违反规则和条例的行为,主办当局有权拒绝其参赛资格。
  8.3   主办当局有权在无须通知的情况下更改规则和条例。
  8.4   评判团所做出的决定为最后裁决,谢绝任何赛后申诉。
