Mr Henry Ng Chay Kuang |
Henry Ng Chay Kuang is currently the Founder and Artistic Director of Dance Horizon Troupe (Singapore). He is also the Principal of the troupe's training programmes and the Artistic Advisor for a temple situated in Indonesia. Besides this, he is also actively involved in choreography and teaching dance under the Ministry Of Education. He has also travelled to Hong Kong and Malaysia to hold dance training programmes and to serve as a judge for the dance competitions held there. At the same time, Henry presides as the dance grading examiner for the well-known dance company -Dance Ensemble Singapore Ltd.
Henry's impressive dance experiences started off in the year 1976 when he first began as a dancer himself with the National Dance Company. He had represented Singapore in the ASEAN Arts Festival., in various countries like, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, and Singapore. In 1983, Henry decided to retire from the stage front and redirect his goals to becoming a full-time choreographer. To this end, he has made tireless effort to take up many dance courses overseas to constantly improve on his choreography knowledge and skills. His works are not only seen in Singapore but also showcased beyond national boundaries as he led several dance troupes to countries like Sweden, Prague, Canada, Australia, Korea, China, Taiwan , Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia and Malaysia in the International Music and Dance Festivals. Henry's choreography explores versatility, creativity and innovation. He gathers his inspirations from his personal feelings; hence his works revolve around nature and depict exuberance, vitality and youth.
Over the years, Henry has made considerable contribution to the local arts scene. He has helmed several dance performances like Dance? What Dance?, Oriental Epics, Living Within, ASHA, A New Inspiration, Quindance, Senses, Enter 1773 and Beyond Horizon I and II. Apart from this, he has conducted dance camps and talks targeted at the youths to promote greater appreciation for this performing arts. Furthermore, his involvement in initiatives such as the Arts Festivals, Chinese Cultural Dance Festivals, River Hongbao, Chingay and National Day Parade reflects his commitment towards a more vibrant local arts scene. Henry's hopes and dreams is to see that, in the near future, there will be an increasing number of dance pursuers and enthusiasts who will help in promoting dance and cultivating a strong interest of dance as much as he does.

学院介绍
中央音乐学院附中是教育部直属的国家级重点中等专业艺术学校，至今已有近五十年的历史。其综合艺术部南校区是中央音乐学院附中专业艺术教学的一个重要组成部分。学校实行全封闭式寄宿制管理。学生分小学、初中、高中三个层次学习专业课和文化课,高中毕业时参加北京市全国统一高考,毕业后颁发中央音乐学院附中毕业证书,同时我校也是中央音乐学院继续教育学院的培训基地。
我校占地面积5.1万平方米，教学设施齐全，现有琴房70间，舞蹈排练厅8间，多媒体教室、画室、专业图书馆、电脑室、可同时容纳2000人的学生餐厅、5000平方米运动场、室内体育馆、灯光塑胶篮球场、足球场、小超市、洗衣房、游泳池、医务室等一应俱全。
我校现面向全国招收声乐、器乐、音乐理论、音乐教育、音乐剧、舞蹈、美术、表演等专业的学生。为满足社会对各类艺术人才的需要，我校特开设流行歌舞、流行舞蹈、唱片制作、录音工程、艺人造型等专业,为高等艺术院校、艺术团体提供专业艺术人才和特长生。
我校办学宗旨：植根艺术土壤、滋养艺术奇葩、培养多元化、复合型人才。

Mr. Anthony Meh Kim Chuan (Malaysia) |
Malaysian Outstanding Choreographer. He is also one of the founders of Dua Space Dance Theatre -- the first Chinese Malaysia professional contemporary dance company.
Former professional dancer of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre in Taiwan, Nai-Ni Chen Modern Dance Company and the GGD Dance Company in New York, USA.
Choreographic works previously presented at Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Harbin(China), Soul, Inchon(Korea), Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
He is selected as a member of UNESCO International Dance Council.
Performed in over 21 countries and was acclaimed as 'an outstanding male dancer and choreographer' by international dance critiques from USA, Beijing, China and Singapore.
He is also honoured by the Ministry Culture, Arts & Heritage Malaysia as the Dance Director for the National Day Celebration of 2008, Launching of KL Festival 2008 and the Global Peace Festival 2008.
In 2008, Anthony Meh is awarded as The Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM) 2008. |
