Categories B: Secondary School
Categories C: Junior College & Pre-University
Categories D: Open
Categories E: Ensemble

Criteria for Categories A, B, C & D:
1) Full Orchestra
2) 20 – 100 members (current students/members of institution)

The contest performance consists of free choice of music pieces and free choice of orchestra formation.

Artistic aspect: Performance, Music expression and Articulation
Technical aspect: Tone quality, Rhythm and Melodiousness
Overall performance

There is no determined number of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Participating groups will be awarded certificates based on their performances.

If performing time exceed 15 seconds, deduction of 5 marks on overall scores.

ONLY completed application forms are accepted. (By email or fax)

Please submit the following by: 31 August 2009 via email

• A brief biography of the Group.
• A reproducible photo of the Dance group (landscape jpg format), not older than two years.

All participating groups are to comply with the “Rules and Regulations”.

The organiser reserves the right to impose a penalty for any infringement of the “Rules and Regulations”.

The organisers reserve the right not to award any of the prizes should the entries in the judges’ opinion fail to meet the required standards.

The Organiser reserves the right to make necessary amendments to the “Rules and Regulations” without prior notice.

With respect to the professional team of judges, all judge’s decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained.

Once entry form is submitted, changes of  title/type/category etc are not encouraged and subject to approval by the organizer.

The festival office reserves the right to reject applications for artistic or organisational reasons. Any fees paid will only be refunded should the group be rejected.
