Introduction
21st Century International Band Competition, at
Genting Highlands, West Malaysia from 5th – 9th December
2005 was the 4th International Music event organized
by 21st Century Cultural Arts Development (21CCAD).
We hope this event had been a wonderful experience for
all participants. It has always been and will always be
our ultimate aim and driving motivation, to give musicians
from all over the world an opportunity to come together
and showcase their talents.
Highlights of
the event were

Renowned music educators adjudicated all Bands
with evaluation and awards. |

Bands were provided with proper recommendations
that will help them to improve further. |
| 3. |
Friendly and effective communication between Band
directors, conductors and adjudicators. |
| 4. |
Feedback session for all participating group by
the adjudicators. |
About the Venue
First World Hotel, Genting Highlands, West Malaysia
Genting International Convention Centre (GICC)
GICC is a world-class convention centre with 7 ballrooms
and 10 Meeting Rooms under the wing of newly built hotel,
with 1000 rooms. Situated 51km northeast of the federal
capital of Kuala Lumpur, Genting- City of Entertainment
is easily accessible by road and air.
Genting Highlands comprise of Theme Park (outdoor &
indoor), casinos, entertainment, shopping arcade and countless
eateries. The building, which consists of two 33-storey
towers and serviced by 24 lifts each tower, will have
a total of 6,300 well-appointed rooms. Other features
include a Rainforest themed lobby and coffee house, food
courts and specialty restaurants including Chinese, Indian
and Thai, video arcade, cineplex and a 32-lane bowling
centre.
The last International Chinese Music Festival (2002) and
International Choral Festival (2003) were held at this
very same venue.
