Introduction
21st Century Cultural Arts Development (21CCAD) is proud
to present its 5th International Music Festival - "21st
Century International Chinese Music Festival"
held from 16th - 21st June 2006 in Qinhuangdao located
in Hebei Province of China.
Objectives
| 1. |
Elevate the standard of traditional Chinese music
from all participating countries through a mass
get-together of amateurs and professionals to promote
the art of Chinese music through a wider spectrum
of community and thus promote the music’s
development. |

Encourage music exchange from different region
so as to develop a significant cohesion of friendship
among musicians and providing them a platform to
exchange their vision and showcasing their talents. |

Provide festival participants a chance to attend
master class conducted by world-renowned music professionals
and increasing the cohesiveness of Chinese community
by appreciating Chinese music culture. |

Legendary Summer Vacation Destination
21st CCAD was privileged to organise this 5th consecutive
year music event in China. With the well-known fact of
Qinhuangdao’s history and location, it has been
deem to be the most appropriate location for this event
with the theme “Musical Journey of The Great Wall
and The Sea”
Qinhuangdao – the only city in China named after
an emperor, Qinshihuang, the first emperor of China –
stands gracefully on the east coast of China, where the
Great Wall, meandering like a giant oriental dragon on
hills and ranges, meets the sea.
In the northeastern area of Hebei province, Qinhuangdao’s
advantageous geographical location makes it the reputed
coastal tourist resort closest to Beijing. With Bohai
Sea on it’s south, Yanshan Ranges on its north,
adjacent to Liaoning province on the east and close to
Beijing and Tianjin to the west, Qinhuangdao is a vital
hub city, in the heart of the Round – Bohai Economic
Zone, connecting the Northeast China and the North China
areas. This city is home to a population of 2,760,000
and its territory spreads over an area of 7,812 square
kilometres.
Qinhuangdao abounds with historical and cultural relics
and a great variety of tourist resources comprising mountains,
sea view, the Great Wall passes, ancient towns, lakes,
forests, caves, springs, and etc.

假 中国河北省著名的避暑旅游胜地——秦皇岛举行。

以中华民族音乐为主体，搭建一个世界华乐文化艺术大平台。发扬华乐艺术，提高世界各地华乐水平，共同促进华乐发展。 |

加强世界各国，各地区华乐活动的交流，增进世界各地华乐团体之间的友谊并为世界各地华乐爱好者提供一个相互学习，观摩，及展现华乐才艺的国际大舞台。 |

让与会者有机会参与中国华乐大师主持的各项讲习以提高水平通过华乐交流，加强世界华人社区之凝聚力。 |

中国河北省著名避暑旅游胜地——秦皇岛
这是中国首次承办这项已有五年历史的国际华乐盛会，秦皇岛以其独特的历史，地理地位。成为本次华乐节的主题——
"长城与大海的对话"
的最佳展示地。
秦皇岛位于河北省的东北部，全市人口约有276万，有汉、满、回、蒙古、壮等40个民族，其中汉族占总人口的85%.它西距北京约280公里,南方面临渤海。气候温和，春季少雨干燥，夏季温热无酷暑，秋季凉爽多晴天，冬季漫长无严寒。秦皇岛的经济发达，交通便利，基础设施完善，旅游景点更是多姿多采，不但具有文化传统价值,更有名山名水，景色秀丽，确实是旅游及避暑的胜地。历史故事中的秦始皇求
"长生不老药" 就发生在秦皇岛上。还有著名的孟姜女庙，天下第一关及老龙头等景点，更是众所周知，必游之处。
其中，长城与渤海的相汇之处——老龙头与天下第一关——山海关，除了是观光揽胜的好地方，同时也是本次盛会的举办地点。
